NUR-SULTAN, Kazakhstan – According to a decree of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev there will be a lockdown in the country from 16 March to 15 April in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.
Shops, entertainment centers, cinemas, theaters, exhibitions will be closed and entertainment, sports and other public events, as well as family, commemorative events, are prohibited.
In addition, entry into the territory of Kazakhstan is limited, and exit from its territory by all means of transport is limited too, with the exception of the staff of the diplomatic service, as well as members of delegations of international organisations traveling to Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
