Amid growing pessimism about the contemporary challenges the world faces, namely climate change, economic confrontations and populism, Abhinav Kumar firmly believes that youth is the force that would mark a shift to better and more hopeful days.
Kumar, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Global Markets, Tata Consultancy Services, in his article for Our World magazine, acknowledged the most pressing global challenges and explained how the young generation inspired him to reflect on his own actions and bring positive change. ‘‘There is no force stronger than our children to change us,’’ he stated.
He went on projecting the ways young people can contribute to a more promising future through three ‘‘B.I.G’’ changes, as he characterized them. With ‘B’ corresponding to ‘‘Bridgital’’, ‘I’ to ‘‘Impatience’’ and ‘G’ to ‘‘Green’’, he explored how youth’s familiarity with technology and social media is bridging the digital gap between generations, as well as how their environmental sensitivity can solve crucial challenges.
