Challenges for a new decade

This new decade will be a time of challenges where both people and companies must adjust to a different set of rules. Europe needs to regain its internal competitive advantage and must be able to reinforce its place on the world stage.

In this way, it´s essential to learn from past lessons if Europe is going to rebuild its competitive advantage and reinvent its effective place in a complex and global world.

In a new global economy and innovation society, this next decade will play a central role to play towards creating a new attitude that is connected with the creation of value and a focus on creativity. The 2020s must, in the scheme of history, be an enabler in an increasingly demanding world. Over the next 10 years, society and an economy of trust and innovation will be essential to ensure some sort of central leadership in a dynamic and developing world.

The key actors in the new decade should be global, capable of driving the social matrix, and able to sell it as a mobile asset on the global market. In a complex time of uncertainty, the 2020s must be emerge as an example of a positive attitude towards the future.

Talented individuals must be part of a new competitive advantage in 2020 in order to push the enablers of modernity, added value and excellence. A very clear idea that suits the big challenge that our society really faces and new answers for different questions is also essential.

The act of global participation in such a demanding society is an exercise of commitment between individual creativity and collective cooperation. This is key for the right future in the new decade.

We need a new decade that is for average citizens, one where people know who they are and have a strong commitment with the values of freedom, social justice, and development. This is the reason to believe that a new standard for democracy in the world is not just a real possibility, it is an individual and collective necessity for all of us as effective global citizens.

The difference for this decade will be in the way that an individual participates in the reinvention of a collective society. This is a process that is not determined by law, it is effectively constructed by all of the actors in a free and collaborative strategic interaction.

In a certain sense, we need the new decade to an answer to the world’s many challenges.  A special global capacity for creating a new commitment between the citizens toward the challenge of the future is, in fact, what this commitment to a new democracy in the world will be. It will be based on new standards of social innovation that can restart and confirm that in the new decade, individual performance in a complex society is possible and necessary for the future.

The world is facing a new strategic challenge. Reinventing the world and giving society’s global actors – its states, universities, enterprises, and civil society – the opportunity to develop new challenges that are focused on innovation and creativity ism in a large sense, giving them a central role in the new global order.

The reinvention of the world will be the reinvention of its people and institutions. An active commitment, in which the focus is on the participation and development of new competences on a collaborative basis, must be the key of the difference if the challenges of the new decade are to be met.
