The communication took place, following an initiative by the Armenian government.
Democratic reforms in Armenia was at the heart of the bilateral discussions, while the Council President and the Prime Minister also exchanged views on their expectations from the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels in June.
While EU’s efforts are focusing on supporting democracy in the country, the two sides also discussed extending relations to developing trade and economic ties.
