Charles Michel, EU Council President has called for another EU summit on Coronavirus response, to be held on Tuesday, March 17, through videoconference.
“Containing the spread of the virus, providing sufficient medical equipment, boosting research and limiting the economic fallout is the key,” Michel tweeted.
EU27 leaders held a virtual summit last week, during which, they called for a “coordinated response,” orchestrated by the European Commission, Member states and the European Central Bank. They also set out 4 priorities for the common European approach; limiting the spread of the virus, provision of medical equipment, promotion research and tackling socio-economic consequences.
