Michel Barnier, EU’s chief Brexit negotiator announced he has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a tweet published on Thursday, the 69-year-old official said he is “in good spirits, following all the necessary instructions.”
I would like to inform you that I have tested positive for #COVID19. I am doing well and in good spirits. I am following all the necessary instructions, as is my team.
For all those affected already, and for all those currently in isolation, we will get through this together.

“Dear Michel Barnier, I wish you a quick recovery. We are wholeheartedly with you,” Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen tweeted.
